Assalamualaikum, and it is still not to late for me to wish you guys Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri maaf zahir batin.
Wow! it's been a while since I last updated my blog, but still I would like to express my gratitude to those who browse through my blog. Thank you guys for visiting my blog hope you guys benefited at least something from it.
Anyway.....today's topic of discussion is about leadership. There are a lot of famous leadership figure in today's world such as John Kotter, John Maxwell. Donald Trump and many more. These people have lead many people towards achieving success and triumph. So what are the secret of being a successful leader? Leaders are people who not just struggling to manage a business per say, leaders jobs is more dynamic that that. The first basic rule that you have to understand is that the utmost function of a leader is to inspire others. They want others to actually follow their foot steps to victory. That why the basic responsibility of a leader is to inspire others to achieve success and support them along the way. John Maxwell wrote in his state of the art leadership book 'Leadership Gold': "if you are on the top of the hill all alone, than there must be something wrong". Why? because a good leader support his subordinated not blindly dictate them. When he is at the top of the hill, he wants others to enjoy the view together with him. A good leader produce another good leader after him.
Of being a leader is not piece a cake, it requires specific skills and expertise in order for you to be able to lead people effectively and productively. Under normal circumstances, people tend to avoid being in leadership position as it bears huge responsibilities and they are AFRAID that they could not perform according to the desired expectation. Life is all about taking risk. There lies the excitement and enjoyment. When you willing to take a risk, that show that you have move one step ahead from others. That give you an edge. But of course you have to bare in mind that when we talk about risk there is no specific guaranty of success or failure. It's all depend on you efforts. Still, that proves that you are not just an ordinary leader but you are a leader with great vision in mind and creative. So, don't be afraid in taking risk.
Another secret of being a successful leader is that always try to go out from your comfort zone. I'm sure you guys are familiar with this term, but just to clearly linked this with leadership, a comfort zone is when you feel comfortable and at peace of mind. Yes it is good but you cannot stay at that stage for long, you have to move on. This is because, if we do not go out beyond our comfort zone we will never be productive and our performance will be static. It is not a good scenario for a good leader. A good leader always try to come out with something new, try something different. So don't stay too long in your comfort zone.
So guys, leadership is not bad as it sound. It is an exciting journey that promises lots and lots of experience and lesson learned that is very much beneficial for you. So when ever an opportunity present it self, GRAB IT while you can and do your best to achieve success and triumph.
DON'T BE JUST AN ORDINARY LEADER BUT BE A SMART LEADER
