FAME Training

Assalamualaikum, may you all are in good health and blessed by Allah always.

It’s been a long time since I last updated my blog. Kind of a bit busy lately… Well recently I just finished conducting a training session for AKHI Club IIUM. The training was on how to be a good mentor. The name of the program was FAME Training which stance for Facilitating Mentoring Experience. The date of the program was 22^nd Jan 2010, 10.00 a.m. at Admin Lecture Theater 3. The participants was about 20 people which far below than the expected number due to the mid semester break. Nevertheless, the training still goes on and it was fun and enthusiastic.

The program basically touches on the aspect of why mentoring is important in facing the challenges in life such as environment, educational, and also hedonism. Mentoring is basically the effective tool for mind transformation for children and also it is the best platform to explore a new you. It is an opportunity that one can derive a lot of benefits.

The core of the training was to equip the participants with the essentials tools on how to be a good mentor. The tool is known as ACTIVE:

1) A: Attitude

2) C: Communication

3) T: Team work

4) I: Innovative

5) V: Virtues

6) E: Enthusiastic

At the end of the session, all the participants were satisfied with the training as it provides them with a lot of beneficial information in order to prepare them to be a good mentor. Besides lecture there are tons of fun activities done throughout the training sessions.

In the end, I would like to express me gratitude to the AKHI Club organizing committees for inviting me to conduct the training and also to all my trainers for their advices and supports.
